Shipping Information

After an order is placed through our website one of our Captive Born Team members will reach out to you via email or phone to schedule the shipping date.  Orders that contain live animals will only be shipped from our facility on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday and days that do not fall on holidays. Orders can be canceled up until the agreed day of shipping.

Captive Born Reptiles guarantees that our animals will arrive alive if overnight shipping with signature is selected and temperatures from the shipping destination to the delivery destination are between 39-90 degrees Fahrenheit. To meet our guarantee a signature must be made on the first delivery attempt.  We also expect that any concerns or questions are addressed to our store phone number at 614-267-8025 within 24 hours of receiving the animals. We are open 7 days a week; Monday-Saturday 10 am-8 pm and Sunday 12 pm-6 pm.

If an animal is not housed in the proper environment for the species our guarantee is void and we accept no responsibility for issues that arise from improper care (e.g. Temperatures that are too high/low or humidity too high/low, bedding, lighting, etc).  If you have any questions about what we consider proper setup/care for the animal(s) you are considering feel free to call us before placing the order, we are glad to help.

 We will only ship animals to the 48 continental states and will cancel any order that we recognize as not abiding by any Federal, State, or Local laws.  We will make no exceptions or exemptions to laws being broken.  Please do the research required to identify and abide by all laws that may pertain to the animal being ordered to protect yourself from any legal issues.  We will not ship to an address that is a P.O. box or an international address.  All of our animal orders will have an added packing fee of $5.99 in addition to the shipping cost. Shipping cost will be calculated at checkout based on your location and chosen shipping method.
